Kuari Pass is one of the most scenic high-altitude treks in Uttarakhand. The route moves through forests and open meadows before reaching a high mountain pass with views of some of the most impressive peaks in the Garhwal Himalayas.

The trek is also associated with the historic Lord Curzon Trail. The present route commonly approaches the pass from the Joshimath side and includes villages such as Dhak and Tugasi.

What Makes Kuari Pass Special?

The views are the main attraction. From higher sections of the trail, you can see mountains including Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, Chaukhamba and Neelkanth.

But the journey isn’t only about the summit. Oak and rhododendron forests, high-altitude meadows and beautiful campsites make every day visually different.
