YAMUNOTRI

Yamunotri, is a holy place in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, India, is a revered pilgrimage site and the source of the sacred Yamuna River. Perched at an altitude of about 3,293 meters, it is one of the Char Dham (along with Badrinath, Kedarnath, and Gangotri). The main attraction here is the Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, believed to be the daughter of the Sun God and sister of Yama, the God of Death.

The journey to Yamunotri is as spiritual as the destination itself, involving a scenic trek through lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and picturesque landscapes. Pilgrims also visit the Surya Kund, a hot water spring near the temple, to cook rice and potatoes as a ritual offering.

GANGOTRI

Gangotri is a scared place of Hindu. Gangotri is a source of the sacred Ganaga river and it is also known for its spiritual significance and natural beauty. Located at an altitude of about 3,100 meters in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand , District Uttarkashi. Gangotri is also a part of four sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites for Hindus.

According to Hindu mythology, Gangotri is the place where the river come down to Earth from heaven, thanks to the penance of King Bhagirath. The river originates from the Gangotri Glacier, around 19 km upstream, where it is called Bhagirathi.

KEDARNATH

Kedarnath is a sacred town in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, located in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,583 meters (11,755 feet), near Chorabari Glacier wich is the source of Mandakini river. It is home to the revered Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and the part of Char Dham making it a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus. The temple’s striking architecture, built using massive stone slabs, is believed to date back to the 8th century and is surrounded by majestic snow-capped peaks.

BADRINATH

Badrinath is a small but spiritually significant town located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Situated in the majestic Himalayas at an altitude of about 3,300 meters (10,827 feet), it is renowned for the Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites and attracts thousands of devotees each year.

Surrounded with snow-capped peaks and the Alaknanda River, Badrinath is a attractive and beautiful location. The town holds great importance in Hindu mythology, often linked to various legends about Lord Vishnu. TUNGNATH

Tungnath is a respected Hindu temple located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. It is the highest Shiva temple in the world, sitting at an located at approximately 3,680 meters (12,073 feet) above sea level. Part of the Panch Kedar pilgrimage, Tungnath holds immense spiritual significance, as it is believed to be more than 1,000 years old.

The temple is surrounded by stunning Himalayan mountains and is a peaceful place for nature lovers and trekkers. The trek to Tungnath is not too difficult and begins at Chopta, a place often called the “Mini Switzerland of India.” Along the way, you can enjoy amazing views of snowy mountains, green meadows, and a variety of plants and animals.

AULI

Auli is a lovely hill station in Uttarakhand, India. It is located high in the Himalayas, about 2,800 meters above sea level. The place is surrounded by snow-covered mountains, green forests, and open grassy areas.

Auli is famous for skiing, especially in winter when the slopes are covered with snow. The Auli Ropeway, one of the longest cable car rides in Asia, gives amazing views of the mountains, including the Nanda Devi and Trishul peaks.

People also visit Auli for trekking, with trails leading to beautiful spots like Gurso Bugyal and Kuari Pass. In summer, the weather is pleasant, making it a great place to relax and enjoy nature.Whether you want adventure or peace, Auli is a wonderful place to visit.
